reviewsWhat Members Say

Members praise Coach Joe and Coach Cassidy for being excellent with all age groups and providing knowledgeable instruction from beginner to expert levels. Many describe engaging classes, top-notch camps, and a welcoming atmosphere where newcomers can learn comfortably. However, some parents report safety concerns, including children being paired with much larger or more experienced partners leading to injuries, and inconsistent supervision when the owner isn't present. Several mention that while the owner is excellent when available, some classes have limited instruction time and inadequate oversight of partner matching.

This school is amazing. Coach Joe and Coach Cassidy are awesome with kids, teenagers and adults. They are full of knowledge and can teach at whatever level from beginners to expert levels. My family and I were blessed to train at this school and learn from these great coaches while we lived in Houston. If you’re in the area, I recommend it 100%.

Every class is super engaging, The camp we attended is top-notch, and while I don't know of any other local gyms I know this one is ranking among the best in the state if not the best in the state among it's competitors. They offer two locations which is awesome in the local high school coach is one of the instructors.

My almost 4yo little boy has fun here! The coaches are welcoming and let the newbies learn by watching and participating in class. Lots of kids and bigger kids to help out.

X-Ray, MRI, and 2 months+ of rehab. Son was new to wrestling and paired up with someone twice his size. Owner was informed of the injury and was asked to postpone auto-billing. He stated it would not restart until we communicated again. Unwilling to reimburse even though there are documented emails explaining that billing would not resume.

My son was very excited to start wrestling, but classes typically have one instructor and a youth helper. My son was getting very little specific instruction or only given sometimes 30 seconds to understand and practice something. The biggest problem was when I noticed he kept trying to get out of going. I finally found out they were putting my 9 year with a 14 year old who was experienced and just wanted to hurt my son. Knowing my son had only been there a couple of months and was significantly smaller, He slammed him into the mat head first multiple times causing injury and even threatening my son because he was wearing a cup telling him "You better not wear thay again because it could hurt me, you understand?" My son said he always wears a cup in sports and the kid replied "wear it again and see what happens." My child spent his last few classes just trying to survive and wasn't learning anything, he ended up begging me to taken him out. This was highly disappointing, but I can't have him in a program that would allow this. The owner Joe was excellent, but wasn't around a lot for my sons classes. He loved when he learned from Joe, but hated it every other time. I don't think Joe knew this was going on and I probably should have called him, but by the time I found out what was going on we just moved on.
