Highland Taekwondo Academy

My 6 year old son has attended this school for 7 months. I like that Master Arana and his instructors teach the class in an interactive way, the children learn and also have a good time. My son has acquired a lot of discipline and perseverance. I also really liked that the school offers different days and class times so it has been easy for me to organize my schedules after work to take my son to his class. I’m very grateful to have found this school.

My kids and I look forward to their Taekwondo classes every week! Master Arana is a really fun teacher, he teaches discipline, obedience and respect along with self defense skills. It’s really cool watching the kids test, seeing everything they’ve learned and watching them earn their next belts. The kids have a sense of accomplishment and something to work towards. I would recommend Highland Taekwondo to everyone!

Such an awesome place with incredible instructors who know their skills!! Came for a womens self defense class with my daughter and learned so much! Will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend!

My daughter and I started searching for a Taekwondo class a few months ago and by a stroke of fate found Master Arana. Even though I could drop my daughter off and run errands, I have really had fun watching class. Master Arana has a very unique ability to teach to all skill levels from beginning to advanced all within the same class. In this way, a respectful community of learners is formed. Master Arana is genuine and in tune with each students' ability. His quick sense of humor adds joy to learning. Very reasonable cost for the many lifelong skills you'll learn. The schedule is very inclusive and flexible which makes it super easy. My daughter loves his classes and we are so happy that we found him!

I’m going to be really honest. When we first started, I wasn’t sure it was a good fit for my preschooler who is very sensitive, anxious, and has some sensory sensitivities. The Master is very disciplined and strict (in a very balanced way) and I was just really worried that my kiddo would struggle. At first, it was an adjustment, but the instructors and Master are incredible at figuring the children out. They know kids, they know how to work with their strengths and weaknesses. It didn’t take long for them to really understand him and work with him and it’s just been such an amazing experience. He absolutely loves it, and loves Instructor Oscar, Julien, and most of all Master Arana. He lights up when he sees them, has developed a ton of skills and his impulse control has improved a lot. They balance discipline and play perfectly so the kids learn to control themselves but they also have so much fun. I also love the other parents and kids. It’s a nice little community and everyone is great. Cannot recommend this place enough.
