Wolfs Den Jiu Jitsu is truly an incredible place. The people here are genuinely kind and welcoming—you’re treated like family from the moment you walk in. The instructors and higher belts take the time to help you grow, no matter your skill level. Training is done safely and with real care, and you can tell they truly care about the people.

This gym is very clean, well structured, offers a great balance of beginner to expert, a knowledgeable professor and multiple black belts. This is a great gym for anyone seeking a legitimate path to a higher education and functional training. Also, conveniently located right next to Vasa Fitness in Riverton!

I recently trained at Wolves Den Jiu Jitsu and wanted to share my experience. First, I want to give credit where it’s due — the instruction from the older black belt, Suyan, was excellent. A lot of credentials listed on their website. Clear details, strong fundamentals, and very technical teaching. From a pure jiu-jitsu standpoint, the instruction itself was solid and valuable. That said, there were some noticeable downsides. The gym itself is small, and the mat space feels limited for the size of the classes. They do split classes into beginner and intermediate, which is good in theory, but I found it odd that the intermediate class had children training alongside adults. While I had to leave because I wasn’t at that level. I could only train for the beginner allotted hour. The biggest concern for me was the facility condition. The bathrooms and changing area had a very strong foul smell, almost like a sewage issue. It was hard to ignore. Their fans above the mats had noticeable dust buildup, and the mats themselves didn’t appear as clean as I would expect. I saw nails, hair, and even a cricket in the far corner while drilling (possibly from the reptile store next door). Overall, the quality of jiu-jitsu instruction was good, but the facilities felt subpar. I hope they’re able to address these issues because with better cleanliness and attention to maintenance, this gym could be much better.
