I’ve really enjoyed getting started here! They made the process so easy to understand. I really valued this how patient, flexible, and welcoming everyone had been. My son is improving and has only just started!

My kids are “neurospicy” and high energy; so they’re the kids that need to learn focus, discipline, confidence, and the other life lessons martial arts are supposed to help with… but finding a dojang that can handle neurodivergent kids with grace and compassion without missing a beat is rare. Changing Lives not only does that, they do it in a light hearted and friendly tone that keeps the kids from feeling called out. They teach life lessons, self defense and competitive martial arts for all ages with a requirement that their students be well rounded(“black belt behavior at school and home too”) and if you want to see how well they are doing for yourself, come in for a trial class and watch their young black belts handle themselves with more maturity and respect than a lot of adults you’ll find elsewhere!

We love this place! All three of my kids attend class here and they never want to leave. Many great and knowledgeable instructors who make training fun and many achievable milestones in between belt ranks keep our kids motivated. The culture of leadership and respect help our kids understand what is expected of them in the real world. If you’re looking for a place to train for you or your children, this is the place.

A great place for my kids to learn and practice the implementation of discipline, respect, and honesty. They have a focus on values while working on martial arts. The staff has been great with Neuro divergent students and are happy to accommodate them in constructive ways.
