reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the gym's positive atmosphere and Christian values, noting significant improvements in children's confidence, self-esteem, and life skills alongside martial arts training. Parents highlight the engaging teaching methods, reasonable pricing, and staff who genuinely care about students' overall development. Specific compliments mention instructors by name, particularly the Little Dragons instructors, and emphasize how well the gym keeps younger students focused through high-energy lessons. While most reviews are extremely positive, one member expressed frustration with contract terms and perceived lack of flexibility when requesting a break from training, noting communication that felt insincere despite the gym's Christian messaging.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. I checked out other karate places before Savior Martial Arts, one of which is very well known in this area, and was very disappointed (expensive, lured us in with a "free lesson" that lasted only a couple minutes, while they cornered me in a small room pressuring me to sign a 5 yr contract at an unreasonably high price per month, etc). The atmosphere at Savior Martial Arts is positive and really puts Christian values in all they do. The staff cares about the students and encourages their healthy growth and development, not only in karate but in life. They really do build the "whole person" and not just karate instruction. The price is very reasonable and you get way more than your money's worth. My son's confidence, self esteem and self control has improved dramatically since starting here. He loves coming here and often does not want to leave! I am constantly amazed and continue to be pleasantly surprised with how high quality Savior Martial Arts is. One of the best decisions I have ever made was bringing my child here.

We have been going here for over a year now. It’s awesome! The staff not only wants to see you succeed in Martial Arts but in core values for life. They genuinely care about you as people. My daughter has learned so much confidence and leadership skills to help her for the rest of her life. Not to mention she is able to apply spiritual lessons to everyday situations. She is committed to becoming a black belt and strives to be a good person! You can’t ask for anything more.

We have been going here for about 8 months. My son looks forward to going everyday. I have seen a big improvement in our home life and homeschooling journey since starting. Reinforcing listening skills, respect, kindness and focus in a fun environment. The instructors have been amazing. Their teaching techniques are top notch. I’m impressed with how well they keep the younger students engaged and focused. There is always movement and high energy. Thank you to all the little dragons instructors! You are all doing an excellent job 🙌 We have experienced different martial arts schools in the past. My oldest son was in martial arts for 6 years in another state. We had great experiences with those dojo‘s too but this one is even better. Savior Martial Arts teaching techniques are on another level. They’ve mastered how to pass on excellent teaching techniques to the younger instructors. Their lessons are always fun, engaging and well planned out. You can tell they take a lot of time and dedication in preparation for each lesson.

My boys have been going to this dojo for 3.5 years and have earned their black belts since then. They have gained confidence, discipline, and courage! And all the senseis and coaches know each student by name.

We started my son here in early September. The owner's wife gave a poor impression with her unnecessary rudeness when we were first getting my son signed up; but I dismissed it in consideration of the bigger picture. Some unplanned shifts occurred in our household over these past few months, so I reached out to request that my son's account be removed from autopay as he will be taking a BREAK. I received a response, which I found to be quite interesting from an organization that markets itself as based in Christian/Biblical principles. I was told that there are 2 more monthly payments left in the agreement that I signed when my son started. With this, I have no issue because they're part of what I agreed to; but I had forgotten that there was an actual term attached to the payments when I sent the email requesting that the autopay be stopped. Here's what I found interesting: 1) "tell me more of why he wants to quit?". Who said he was quitting? What I said is he'd be taking a BREAK. 2) Any expression of care/consideration was negated by some other comment, which gives me the impression that the care/consideration expressed is insincere. For example: "I'm happy to help you however I can but the whole reason we write program agreements is to teach students commitment, and its the only way we can run a school like this. We just aren't a drop in recreational program." If you truly care, simply find out what's going on first to see if some accommodation can be made. And why jump to the conclusion that he is quitting when what I said is that he will be taking a break? Then to add further insult, I received absolutely no response to my reply to their email. To me, the email response lacked genuine care and consideration, as well as tact. Needless to say, my son won't be returning and I do not recommend.
