One of the best places around for teaching traditional karate. The owners make it feel like you belong to the family. The senior belts are inviting and work well with new people.

This small dojo really puts their heart and soul into teaching. There is no better place I can think of to take your young ones to develop diligence and respect. And few places where you can learn traditional effective karate, kungfu, and taichi. Yes I said effective Taichi (this isn't your grandma in the park taichi either). Don't be fooled by it's humble school. These teachers teach because it's their passion, not their paycheck. Want a school you can call a home, check out Seishin Ryu Dojo.

The biggest part about this dojo is that there's an open door and dojo family for EVERYONE. (About half of the students would have an IEP,) The teachers are patient and entertaining while teaching the traditional karate forms. (The ones that bring the student home every night. Go First to a tournament and decide which school is educating their students which forms. If you can imagine it being useful in a self defense situation, consider it .) First two classes are free. Give it a shot.
