Siren Jiu Jitsu

I recently spent a week in town visiting family and took the opportunity to visit this school. The instructors, Julia and Vance, were very welcoming, knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. Their expertise and approachable demeanor created an inviting atmosphere that was very enjoyable as well as learning-friendly. Everyone I interacted with at this school was also friendly and supportive. I will definitely be stopping by whenever I'm in town and want to do some training!

I was visiting Newport News for work and dropped in to train. Everyone was so welcoming and training was great! The vibe at the gym is super chill and everyone was really cool! If you live in the area or are just visiting I highly recommend you check them out! I travel for work and get to visit a lot of gyms. I’ve been really blessed in the gyms I’ve visited and Siren Jiu Jitsu is absolutely in that category! Can’t wait to come back to the area, I’ll definitely be back to train here. Great place to start your jujitsu journey. I started here after healing from an injury and it’s been great. The owners are very laidback and informative. Had a great last 2 months here.

My family is into this sport, so were eager to try this new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Studio located on the corner of Jefferson and Thimble Shoals in Newport News. Owned by local professionals, Julia and Vance, they have endeavored to take their hobby to the next level with this studio. The studio is small but adequate for classes, with a small area for kids to hang out while parents roll. A class for girls 6-12 is beginning soon. All levels of skill are welcome and all train together. The web site provides the specifics about when and what is offered. One of my family members said he loves the mats because they absorb falls and flips. He said they are the best he has been on, and he has been a member at several studios in Hampton Roads. The vibe is one of an intimate space to get to work. No frills and distractions. When you walk in, the mats are right there. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming but students and instructors are working hard! Jiu jitsu attracts students of all ages and sizes, abilities and motivations. Some seek the physical training aspects of the sport, others self defense ability and others to take their skill to the next level. This new studio seems to be all of those things! Growing and integrating a new business into the martial arts community, this studio is a welcome addition.

I LOVE MY COACHES AND I LOVE LEARNING HERE ITS GREAT It’s amazing and a great place to start jujitsu for the first time!!!! XD
