Evergreen Karate and Fitness

We love this studio. This is a family-friendly, supportive group of people. The instructors are incredibly consistent and emphasize character as well as martial arts skills. Attendance has improved my sons concentration and his ability to deal with set backs. Whole families can attend together so you don't have to find a separate time to work out from your kids. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Evergreen is a great place for all ages to learn martial arts. Our daughter (8) has been coming here for a few months now and enjoys the class very much! Master Elmore is great with kids of all ages and patient while teaching while instilling a sense of discipline. Highly recommend.

They say that an organization's culture is established by those in charge and that holds true at Evergreen Tang Soo Do. Master Elmore is a phenomenal leader and his approach to instruction and management (honest, open, disciplined, humorous, genuine, firm-but-patient) really sets the tone of the gym. My child has been attending for a little over a year and we've been able to see what a community Master Elmore has built. He isn't just teaching a martial art, he is building future leaders in the process. While my child is in the intro "Tiny Tigers"group, we have had exposure to a number of upper level belts, many of them in their mid to upper teens. It cannot be a fluke that all those kids are respectful, happy, invested, and great models to the younger kids. As for my child's development at E-TSD, she has improved greatly and her confidence in herself and her self-defense skills is so much higher. She is still a bit quiet at times but Master Elmore has done a great job giving her a trusted space to grow in that challenges her, pushes her, and ultimately rewards her efforts with direct feedback that is both honest and kind.

Master Elmore is great with kids of all abilities and ages. My son has been participating for a little over a year and loves what he is learning and is his calm place.

We appreciate the consistent manner in which classes are conducted- the teachers (led by Master Elmore) focus their students (especially kids) to both have fun and focus, and let those two factors compound to benefit their abilities. I've seen my kid feel a healthy sense of pride and responsibility in attending to the practice of TSD. I'm thankful for the family atmosphere that also doesn't shy away from pushing the students do their best.
