This is the best Jiu-Jitsu dojo in town! Our 9-year-old has been training here for three years, and we couldn’t be happier. Carlos Sensei is the perfect mix of kind and tough—exactly the type of mentor you want guiding your kids. Plus, the free coffee is a great bonus for parents waiting 😁

We stayed in Bellevue for one month, and let our two kids practice BJJ here. Even though we only joined two-week program, we still had relax and warm feeling in Gracie Barra. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Professor Carlos and other professors are professional and patient. They encouraged our kids and let them become confident. Highly recommend!

I've been really impressed with Gracie Barra Bellevue. The professor is passionate, kind, and extremely responsible, and he does a great job working with kids. Amy at the office is, without a doubt, the nicest and friendliest person I've ever met. She responds to emails immediately, making everything run very smoothly. Highly recommend!

Professor Carlos is not a good instructor. I didn’t train at this gym, but at GB Seattle. He would frequently teach the Saturday classes. I’m glad one other person spoke up and gave a review about him. The reason why most people are afraid to critique him, is because I’m sure they’re afraid of the backlash. He’s a horrible person, he yells at his students if they’re unsure or ask questions. And even then, he can’t comprehend what is being asked and gets irritated. Is this the quality of a good instructor? Do better and learn some ethics and leadership qualities before you teach anyone. Otherwise, no one will show up for you.
