I went here expecting nothing and it surprise me so much! I recommend everyone who is interested in trying wresting for the first time, instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful, I adore the atmosphere and they also host events around Washington with other local wrestlers, must try it and must support it 💕

I started Training at GCWS in June of 2023. I’ve fallen in love with the sport of professional wrestling. Thanks to the wonderful coaching staff and students I’ve progressed from student to performer, and I’m excited to keep on learning. The prices are fair, and the coaches are amazing. Thank you again Pitfall Jones, Ethan HD, and Johnny Flynn. I highly recommend anyone that wants to take up Professional Wrestling come to Grit City Wrestling School and Do the beginner Intake.

If you’ve ever had the dream of wrestling like your heroes in the ring, I can honestly say Grit City Wrestling School is the best, most supportive and most authentic atmosphere for it in the area. Let me start off by saying that, as someone that is the same age as some of the wrestlers parents, I started off to fulfill a dream and do what I had did with friends back in my teens while proving to myself I could indeed do it. I love pro wrestling more than almost everything, but I’m also realistic. My goal was to get through what would be their first big intake class so I could proudly say I did it. Coach Pitfall and the tag team of IPA led the intake and I can honestly say it was one of the top 5 most empowering things of my life. After being surprised and not absolutely terrible at it, I continued onto the beginner classes. I must also note that it was such a positive experience that I still commute the 170 miles round trip twice a week just to train at Grit City. Coach Pitfall’s instruction combined with guest advanced students really made the basics click, especially as everyone learned differently and at different paces. Nothing but SUPPORT and zero degrading. Later, I was able to also receive coaching from Coach Ethan, who really puts so much care into every interaction. I’ve learned so much from the coaches and other advanced students. Because of some things beyond my control, I had to modify my level of physical participation and how I did it. Temp or perm, unknown. Instead of saying “sorry for your luck” and telling me to move along, Coach Pitfall and Coach Ethan worked with me and came up with a plan that allowed me to participate overall and be an asset while stuff got figured out. I still train on what I can and they are incredibly supportive of it. After a year at Grit City, I have done two festivals, been part of the “main show” as a manager and “insulted” a sea of people at Bumbershoot in “Bumbermania”. This is far beyond what someone who would say “I’m too old” or “my body is broken” would ever achieved and I did it all because of the team at Grit City didn’t give up on me and I didn’t give up on me. I have went to other promotions shows and the moment they know where I’m from, they have nothing but amazing respect and opinions of the talent that comes from this school. I can honestly say the two big keys to success are: SHOW UP and DO YOUR BEST is the key. Your best may suck to you, but you’re there and still learning. In summary: Grit City Wrestling School helped me find the lost confidence in myself while learning that there is still some pretty dang good people left in this world. You are the only one holding yourself back- DO IT!
