This is a great gym! I visited for the Sunday Jiu Jitsu class and met some awesome guys with great skill! Very friendly and felt like an ego free environment where everyone is looking to get better. Props to Ivan for running a great gym. Oss

Not a great gym for beginners. I came for the beginner BJJ classes, but the Monday instructor is pretty brutal getting you into sparring on the first day without knowing what's going on as well as routinely denying water breaks to the students. After getting a collection of bruises, a sprained wrist and ankle, and constant dehydration, I decided this gym isn't a good place to start. Props to the Wednesday instructor though. He's the reason why I haven't abandoned the sport entirely.

One of the staff members or participants (wearing glasses, blk, heavy/big and a Bellevue Wrestling sweater) often speaks to pedestrians outside the gym in a rude and condescending manner. It creates a hostile and uncomfortable environment for people walking by. I hope management addresses this behavior and encourages staff or members to be more respectful toward the public.

There's a person who works here who's incredibly rude and condescending. He bothers people walking past the gym with an arrogant tone. Mind your own business - if you really cared spend time on 3rd avenue where the real problems are but his life is so sad with too much time he has to harass pedestrians. You've been warned.
