Our child has been enrolled with Seattle Taekwondo Academy for a little under a year now. We can confidently say that the changes in their attitude, self-confidence, and physical/mental strength and well-being are strongly attributed to what STA have taught our child. STA isn't just about Taekwondo. The students also learn self-defense, grappling, how to avoid conflict in the first place, using the minimum amount of force needed to end conflict (while having the tools needed to defend themselves should a conflict escalate), and so much more. The best part though? The students are required to stand-out and grow on their own while also developing teamwork skills too. A student is required to be able to lead, help their community and their fellow classmates with activities such as working together on activities such as paddle work with another classmate, leading poomsae drills, and encouraging and helping lower belts. Our child has grown so much in their self-confidence since attending, and we believe that our child owes a good amount of that growth to what they have learned with STA.
