I trained with Shihan Minakami from 2005 to 2008. I still think about my time there, and the lessons I have learned while I was there. Shihan Minakami is a great master to train under, and you wouldn't regret your time with this art!

Just FYI, for those who are curious Minakami Karate Dojo offers karate classes aimed for different age groups on Tuesday and Thursday nights. 5pm to 6pm for children 6pm to 7pm for the brave and bold, and for the adults (We also have kobudo or weapon class on Thursdays.) MKD also meets on Saturday mornings at the Greenwood Elementary School Gym. 10am to 11am; and 11am to noon There is just enough room in the school gym, to divide the space, for open floor practice and for regular class. Some students often use that opportunity to practice kobudo, but it is expected that they practice on their own at home in their spare time.
