We are so thankful for our experience at Street Sports Poulsbo! My son Benicio has been training here since April 2024, and as a military family that moves often, finding a place that feels like home has meant so much. Coach João and Bonnie are incredible leaders — they bring both discipline and genuine care to every class. The younger coaches, Charlie and Kennedy, are fantastic role models and bring great energy to the kids. Since joining, I’ve seen Benie grow more confident, focused, and respectful. He absolutely loves being around his coaches and teammates! We’re truly grateful for this community and for the positive impact they’ve had on our son. Highly recommend this gym to any family looking for a safe, encouraging, and professional BJJ environment!

This is a great gym run by Joao and Bonnie. They have created an atmosphere that pushes the students to improve, while respecting where different students are coming from with respect to their skill sets and levels. Joao and Bonnie also teach the value of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a means of self-defense. Bonnie also provides expert yoga instruction, which when combined with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu makes for a very strengthening practice of body and mind.

What a great gym. Joao is a very welcoming and technical professor. This shows with his students as there are many tough rolls to be had at all belt levels and weight classes. I've trained all around the world and this is easily one of the cleanest and well put together gyms I've trained at. VERY few gyms have the small details that Street Sports has- bottle refill stations, multiple (clean) showers, warm water, good ventilation, kids hangout area.. I honestly was not expecting this in Poulsbo. Highly recommended. Thank you, Joao

I’ve been attending Gentle Yoga class with Bonnie for over four months, and I can’t say enough good things about it. Before this, I had never taken a formal yoga class, but Bonnie has made the experience so welcoming and accessible. Her knowledge shines through in every session, and she offers multiple variations for each pose, making it easy for everyone to feel successful in their practice. What really sets her apart, though, is the way she weaves words of wisdom and encouragement into the class. It’s not just about the physical practice; her classes leave you feeling balanced, inspired, and truly connected. If you’re thinking about starting yoga or looking to deepen your practice, I can’t recommend this class enough. It’s been such a positive and life-changing addition to my routine.

Last year I moved to Kitsap County and shortly after I settled in, I went in search of a new yoga studio that I could make my new home. I was looking for a community that supported one another on and off the mat, shared common goals, were humble, and had fun. I tried a few studios in the area, and they all had really great teachers but I still felt like something was missing. And then I found Warrior Buddha. I instantly fell in love with Bonnie's teaching style and very quickly knew I found my new yoga home. Warrior Buddha had all of the elements I was looking for and more. Shortly after joining, Bonnie encouraged me to try the Women's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I very much trusted Bonnie's experience and recommendation so I decided to give it a try. I was hooked after the first class and now I practice both yoga and BJJ almost every day. I highly respect Joao and Bonnie for not only being incredible instructors but for also being community leaders. During quarantine, they quickly shifted their business model to an online format. This provided training opportunities to the community during a time when we needed it the most. They've continued to be flexible throughout each phase of reopening, consistently putting safety first while trying to accommodate everyone's needs. This Yoga and BJJ community feels like a second family to me. I'm so grateful to be training in their facility. We train hard, we work to become a better version of ourselves each day, and we have fun. I can't recommend Warrior Buddha enough! 💗🙏👊🏼
