As someone with no experience in martial arts, I didn't know what to expect when I walked into Tenzan. Now a little over a year later, I know I've found a supportive, safe community and learning environment where I'm able to cultivate what's become a lifelong passion. An awesome dojo. My son got his junior nidan there and my middle school daughter is working her way through brown belt. Sensei Bookman, Melissa and the other instructors are excellent and have created a close knit Aikido family and community. Can’t recommend more highly as a place for the whole family.

Tenzan is a warm, welcoming place full of friendly staff and students both. The atmosphere of learning is impressive with excellent guidance from Sensei, the other teachers, and the more experienced students. When I started practicing here I instantly felt I was part of their community. When I missed a few weeks Melissa called to check in on me, a touch I really appreciated. I'm not currently practicing there due to my schedule, but I would love to go back and continue my studies when my schedule allows.
