Coach Garrett runs a great BJJ program. He’s thoughtful in how he teaches and does a great job explaining both the techniques and the context behind them. The classes are inclusive, the community is supportive, and it goes beyond just traditional BJJ, you can also learn practical applications. It’s a well-rounded place to train with a coach who genuinely wants his students to improve.

Coach Garrett, owner of Twisted Jiu Jitsu, is a fantastic coach and truly excellent person. I’ve trained with him for a number of years and know him to be patient, kind, thoughtful in answering questions, and very, very good at jiu jitsu. His classes are focused, technical, and interesting. I highly recommend checking out his gym and getting a roll with the coach.

Garrett has been my main coach for over four years and he’s an excellent instructor 💪🏻. He has a deep understanding of jiu-jitsu and, more importantly, knows how to teach it. He’s great at working with all levels and explaining things in a way that actually makes sense. He focuses on concepts, not just moves, which has helped me improve a lot over the years. He also takes the time to answer questions and genuinely cares about his students’ progress. I highly recommend him to anyone serious about learning BJJ or self defense.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I came in not really knowing what to expect, and Garrett made me feel comfortable right away. He's great at breaking things down so they actually make sense, and he's patient with everyone no matter their skill level. The vibe is super chill; no egos, everyone's just there to learn and get better. Classes are fun but you definitely get pushed, which I can appreciate. If you've been thinking about trying jiu jitsu, just go. You won't regret it.
