Coach Bob and coach Chris provide and endless library of knowledge in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Not only have they provided a place to learn and train, this place has turned into a second family for me. Zoo Brazilian Jiu-jitsu has people of every size, shape, gender, and skill level. Zoo makes everyone feel welcome!

For more than a year, our 10-year-old has been coming here twice a week, and she adores it. Because it's not like other after-school sports, jiu-jitsu has been a terrific outlet for her and has taught her many valuable life lessons. In addition to being professional, the coaches are entertaining and excellent with children. Being able to walk to the Zoo Community from our home makes us very happy. We highly suggest it, since it has been a good aspect of her life.

Our 10-year-old has been going here twice a week for over a year, and she absolutely loves it. Jiu-jitsu has been such a great outlet for her—it’s not like the typical after-school sports, and it’s taught her so many good life lessons along the way. The coaches are awesome—professional, but also fun and really good with kids. We’re so glad to have the Zoo Community within walking distance of our house. It’s been such a positive part of her life, and we couldn’t recommend it more.

We enrolled our young son in jiu-jitsu with the hope of boosting his self-confidence, but we never anticipated the profound impact Coach Bob and Coach Lindsi would have on his overall development. They have instilled valuable life skills in him, teaching that the principles required to excel in jiu-jitsu such as self-discipline, focus, self-respect, empathy, and curtesy are the very same qualities that lead to success in life. I wholeheartedly recommend signing up at Zoo BJJ; our journey has been incredible so far, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing our son's growth and development in the future.

I've had the pleasure to train under Bob Brown since he opened the first Zoo BJJ gym in Montana in 2015. For new students looking for somewhere to train, Bob teaches an in-depth fundamentals curriculum, which helped me build a strong foundation for my grappling game and to this day is critical to my continued learning. For existing practitioners looking at new gyms, Bob is a dedicated student of Jiu-Jitsu. His curiosity and growth-mindset leaves room in the gym for experimentation which in turn creates an environment where everyone improves together. Bob is a great coach and an even better person. You cannot go wrong training with Bob at Zoo BJJ Seattle.
