I stopped by while I was in Charleston on a small road trip. Jeff and everyone at the gym were super welcoming. The instruction was excellent and there are some real killers who train here. Whether you already train, or are looking to start training, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

I did a drop in class while working in the area. Jeff was great, reaching out to me before arriving inorder to give me an idea of how the classes are ran. The class itself was excellent. Lots of technique and a great workout. Its pretty clear how passionate Jeff is about the sport and helping others. The people in the class were very welcoming and all genuinely nice. I'll definitely have to make time for more classes the next time I am in town.

If you're ever in Charleston and looking for the real deal, Charleston Muay Thai and Boxing is it. I dropped in for a Saturday Muay Thai class, and I was absolutely blown away. This gym is the quintessential Muay Thai school in America — no frills, just authenticity, intensity, and a vibe that makes you want to come back every single day. The instruction? Sharp, technical, and easy to follow. The head coach delivered clear, concise direction with the kind of presence and skill that only comes from years of true dedication. He was welcoming from the moment I walked in and created an environment where everyone—from first-timers to seasoned fighters—felt at home. But what stood out the most? The people. This wasn’t just a class—it was a community. A bunch of warriors sparring hard, laughing loud, pushing each other, and genuinely enjoying the grind. There’s something powerful about a room full of fighters who can bang hard and still dap you up after every round. Charleston Muay Thai isn’t just a gym. It’s a sanctuary for fighters, a hub for real Muay Thai, and a place where iron sharpens iron. Easily one of the best gyms I’ve ever visited. I’ll be back.

I was a member here for about 3 months. Solid gym, workouts are great they will make you sweat and definitely get you in better shape. I certainly learned a few things and developed a passion to want to continue MMA. However, one thing I was disappointed with was during the 4:30 bags class Jeff runs, he’s sitting down on his phone for a lot of the class, when he could be instructing students. Members should be getting the most out of paying $100-$150 membership fee. Also I think there could have been more variety for both the 10 minute end of class workouts, and combos on the bag in general. Mikes 4:30 classes was very hands on. He was tough on you but wanted you to get better.
