I have been training with Sensei Taylor since I was young and have been a student of hers since the creation of Charleston Shotokan Karate Club. I have gained so much confidence in myself and have made friendships that will last for years. Her knowledge is vast, and the experiences that have opened up for me as an athlete would not have been possible without Sensei Taylor and CSKC. Sensei Taylor teaches students with a perfect combination of discipline and kindness. The environment she has fostered within her dojo is one every student can agree is a safe place to learn and foster their love for karate, as her own love for this sport shines through every day. Sensai Taylor provides the perfect combination of structure and patience for my neurodivergent teen. My adult and teen clients who have taken her self defense and community classes give glowing feedback and have reported feeling significantly more confident as a result.

Sensei Taylor is a phenomenal teacher! Not only have my grandson and granddaughter developed excellent skills in karate, they have developed confidence, integrity, discipline, kindness, and excellent sportsmanship.
