This place is amazing. The style taught here is Shorin Ryu Karate, which is traditional self-defense karate, not sport karate. Sensei Schroeder has been teaching karate for more than 50 years. He is a great teacher and a great guy. There are both day and evening classes. It is a great workout and a great way to stay in shape. I highly recommend joining this class.

I’ve been a student at East West Connection for 19 years. Sensei Schroeder continues to teach my Dojomates and me something new and challenging every time. Sensei’s skill & knowledge in Shorin Ryu Karate & Okinawan Zen Kobudo are extraordinary. I’ve developed many lifelong friendships with my EWC family!

I have been an off and on student for three decades plus. I trusted EWC with my kids way back, and now, recently, my two grandsons. Three generations now learning karate at EWC. That says something. While I might have not been the best student in the past, my son, who is now a 1st Dan Black Belt stuck with it. I can't think of a better second "family" than Sensei Dan and all my Black Belt Sempais. Think about it...this old guy trusts them with his grandsons. That is probably the best recommendation I have ever put on Google.

I've been going to this Dojo for about a year now and I can say with confidence that Karate and what is taught here has changed my life for the better. It has helped me in many ways, especially my self confidence. The people, the instructors and the Sensei Dan Schroeder are some of the nicest people I've met. The atmosphere at the East West Connection is very friendly and welcoming to new students. I have never had a bad experience with anyone or this Dojo. If you are seeking a place to better yourself mind and body alike, then this is the place to be.
