This program changed my sons life! He is ADHD and had issues controlling his anger , he was on medication and was having trouble in school. After attending this program he is no longer on medication he controls himself very well now and hasn’t been in any more fights! A complete 360! I thank them for their program and should be in every school!!

The J.K. Lee City Youth Martial Arts Program offers events and programs that create increased wellness, safety, respect, responsibility, and thoughtfulness–while also providing exceptional training in the martial arts. This is a welcoming space that fosters a positive community environment for Milwaukee youth and their families. Check out Friday Family Night, volunteer, take a class in person or on Zoom, or show up to cheer on the students at their events. You won't be disappointed!

Having been a volunteer with CYMAP for nearly 8 years, just seeing the positive impact this program has had on so many kids keeps me enthusiastically involved. It's been both fun & gratifying to help them physically in terms of developing fine motor skills, improving balance, and increasing strength. That said, the real satisfaction for me comes from seeing how our students' training helps them to learn self-control and de-escalation techniques, build self-confidence, and strengthen character. Whether you're a parent looking to encourage these skills in your child(ren) or someone looking for a fun & rewarding way to help kids in Milwaukee's underserved neighborhoods, CYMAP is for you!
