Avon Kempo & Aikido Academy offers training in multiple martial arts disciplines including Kempo Karate and Aikido, with highly experienced instructors leading the programs. Master Dominick Violante, the head instructor, holds an 8th Dan Black Belt in Kempo Karate and a 4th Dan Black Belt in Aikido, while Master Jeanene Violante brings her 5th Dan Black Belt in Kempo Karate to the instruction team. This combination of expertise provides students with comprehensive training in both striking and grappling arts within a structured learning environment.

This dojo is special, and offers a true family environment. The Avon Kempo & Aikido Academy has skilled and caring instructors. Your fellow students want to help you improve as a martial artist. Regardless of your interest in the martial arts (self defense, fitness, confidence, belonging to a community, etc.), I highly recommend you come experience a kempo and/or aikido class in person, to see if it's a fit for you. It's been a great fit for me since 2008.

My child has been attending for several months now, and loves it. The instructors do a great job encouraging the kids, even when they are being clingy to their parents. Highly recommended.

Began training in 1977. Inducted into Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame (2003) and USA Hall of Fame (2004). Former instructor for MA Criminal Justice System and certified in R.A.D. Program.
Master Jeanene Violante
Instructor
5th Dan Black Belt in Kempo Karate
Began training in 1992. Successful in tournament competition for sparring, forms, and weapons. Experienced in Chinese fan, Broad Sword, Bo staff, and Naginata.
