My daughters have been a part of the Windsor Locks Jukido Jujitsu dojo for many years and absolutely love it! It is a fantastic place to learn self-defense and get a good workout. Mr Bursiewicz and Mr Bean make learning fun and engaging. Monday nights class was outside and all the students had a great time learning outside!

Sensei Bean has been a steady, encouraging presence since my son and I began Jukido a year ago, and now as head of the Granby dojo, he’s built on that trust with skill, respect, and clarity. We’ve also attended sessions at the Windsor Locks dojo through his partnership there, and the consistency in quality and energy across both has been outstanding. Classes are challenging, fun, and always focused on learning safely — we couldn’t ask for a better teacher.

I would highly recommend this dojo to anyone of any age! Both Mr. B and Mr. Bean are very informative, take their time explaining moves and why they are done that specific way but more importantly make class fun. Both of my sons have a smile on their face the entire class. My youngest thinks Mr. Bean is the best as he makes his point in a silly manner at times and has picked up and carried kids off the mat to prove how important it is to know the correct techniques to get away from the "uke" in training and real life. I also appreciate how regardless of age everyone works together as one to help each other grow. This class is definitely worth the price of admission. Don't second guess it and sign up you will not be disappointed!

Windsor Locks Jukido Jujitsu is by far the best place to receive quality martial arts training at an affordable price! I also like the fact that they focus on each student as an individual, belt advancement is at the learning pace of the student, and the focus is learning, retaining what’s been taught and having fun. The instructors are down to earth and the students are always learning something new while also focusing on not losing the basic skills they were taught. We drive 40 minutes to get to the dojo and it’s well worth it!

Our two kids have been practicing at Windsor Locks Jukido jujitsu for more than 5 years. They love coming here every week and never want to miss a day. The teachers do such a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome, while at the same time pushing the students to challenge themselves and do things they thought they could not. I’m so happy we found this place through word of mouth. I enthusiastically recommend it to all! It’s a perfect environment for learning how to defend yourself against aggressors of all types.
