Great community with real judo. Kids learn real skills in a supportive environment. Adults get a great workout in the spirit of judo - i.e. training w/ no ego + excellent comradery. We're lucky to have such a place in CT.

I just started training judo. Let me say that this place is a hidden gem! Everyone here is super helpful. You will come out feeling great, even when you are getting thrown on the mat. The lessons and the tips that you get from the higher belts are beyond incredible! Coach Chris is the best and he is friendly. Likewise, if you also do BJJ and want to learn throws and judo techniques for your standup game, come to this place! Many of the experienced members are more than willing you help out if you just ask. I love this place!

The owner fred isn't a very nice person. For some of the classes only one person shows up. They have toxic people at this place and some like to hurt people

Dangerous place to train. There are some decent people here but also way too many bad people who go into every randori with bad intentions. They won’t care if it’s your first day, they will snap your leg or break your arm without a second thought.
