I am coming up on my 10th anniversary as a member of Viking Athletics (formerly Crossfit Relentless). After 30 years of neglecting my fitness, working at a desk, and racing around my kids' activities, I made a commitment to take care of myself so I could enjoy the downhill side of my time on this planet. I tried for a year working out on my own, which resulted in recurring injury and frustration. Then I found Coach Erik and his team at VA and couldn't be happier. I have learned to move again, have gotten much stronger, and experienced a better quality of life with higher energy levels. As a masters aged participant, the coaching has been great at helping me scale appropriately to avoid injury, fully participate, and compete only against myself. Every day I go to this gym I feel better when I leave than I did when I walked in. I love the programming, the coaching, and the members I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years. Thanks to all of you!

I've been a member at this gym since 2019, and I can't recommend it enough. The standout to me is how adaptable the staff/programming is to your fitness goals and needs. If you want to be a highly competitive strength athlete, this gym is for you. If you want to get/maintain a general/practical level of strength and fitness, this gym is for you. If you're somewhere in between, this gym is for you. If your goals change at any point, the staff will be there to support you. A few examples from my experience: when I got serious about increasing my squat depth, a staff member gave me a short daily stretching routine that really helped my flexibility. When I would miss a few weeks or months of training for various reasons, staff members would help me safely ease back into training. If an injury did come up (for me, mostly from things outside the gym), the staff would help modify workouts to make sure I could still train effectively while recovering. When I decided to run a marathon, the staff gave me nutrition tips and helped me find the right balance between running and lifting training so that I could avoid injury and not wear myself out while my body adapted to a new training load. The gym even adapted well to external events, like the pandemic, offering at-home workouts that didn’t require gym equipment but still maintained fitness (I didn’t notice much of a decrease in strength when we got back into the gym) for the first few months, and then modifying the class structure to meet health and safety recommendations when things opened back up again. Hopefully nothing like that happens again, but if it does, you can be sure that Viking Athletics won’t leave you hanging. Other reviews mention the awesome community, quality of coaching, variety of programming, etc., and I agree with all of that. But what has always stuck out to me in contrast to other gyms I have attended is that you have a bunch of different people with a bunch of different (and often changing) fitness goals, and this gym is genuinely supportive of all of them. You’ll get out what you put in at any level, but there’s no pressure to put in more than you can/are willing to at any given moment. So as I said at the start, wherever you are on your fitness journey, this gym is for you.

Viking Athletics is an exceptional gym, and I highly recommend it! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and always provide feedback during workouts, helping you maintain proper form and ensuring a safe training environment. What truly sets this gym apart is its amazing sense of community. Everyone cheers each other on, creating a fun, supportive, and inspiring atmosphere. The workouts are thoughtfully planned and available in their app, making it easy to prepare for sessions or create personalized plans if you’re working on other areas outside the gym. Every workout is tailored so anyone can participate, no matter their fitness level. There are scaling options for everyone, and the coaches will guide you to find what works best for you! Each session lasts an hour, giving you the perfect balance between efficiency and effectiveness (great for busy people who want to make gains while staying on schedule). Viking Athletics is an outstanding place to work out, build strength, and be part of a truly inspiring and dedicated community!

Joining Viking Athletics has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in the past several years. I was intimidated to start but, I shouldn’t have been because the coaches were able to scale all the workouts and fit them to my fitness level. After working out on my own for a long time and then trying other group fitness classes, I never felt like I was making any steady progress in my strength goals. But, once I joined the CrossFit program, I very quickly got stronger and improved my overall conditioning. More than anything though, I have appreciated the support of the coaches and the community this gym has provided. It always feels like a positive environment where everybody is cheering you on and excited to see your progress. I couldn’t recommend Viking enough!

I’ve been a member for close to 5 years now, and it has been the best 5 years I’ve had consistently chasing fitness by a mile. The members are fun, encouraging, and without ego, and that makes it much more enjoyable. For the first time ever, I’ve enjoyed working with weights, since it turns out that programming, coaching, and education make a big difference. They are also great at helping you work through an injury or trouble spot that you may have. Recently I transitioned from CrossFit, which with good coaching is not as scary as it sounds, to their powerlifting program and the coaching has helped me a ton through both. I can’t even count how many tips I’ve picked up from coaches about nutrition, workouts outside of the gym, or anything related to the other 23 hours in the day that are all part of it.
