My 5 year old just started about a month ago but has already enjoyed his jui jitsu class so much. I really didn't know what to expect but I have been pleased so far. I think they do a really good job at engaging with the kids as a group and individually. I also appreciate that they teach things like respect and focus to his age group. Everything is super clean there too! If you or your kids are interested, I would definitely recommend this business.

Attended a seminar at this gym, conducted by Brooklyn Olegario. Structured as an intro to jiu jitsu (super soft-sell), but more importantly, to appeal to women looking for a different way to increase confidence and activity in a safe space, bond with other women of different backgrounds, and be exposed to a community of passionate jiu jitsu members who value inclusion and diversity, more than competition. Brooklyn was very organized, engaging and genuine. The men and women who are members of this gym and lent their support, were extremely respectful of all of our abilities and limitations, and never made us feel inadequate or uncomfortable. They were funny, encouraging, and taylored the exercises and techniques to our individual situations. As a result of this seminar, 3 in our group + one who could not attend will be joining! The gym itself is huge, clean, and parking is easy. Highly recommend an intro class. Who knows what it will inspire!

This gym strikes the balance of training hard while still maintaining a welcoming environment. I stopped in for their Wednesday night class (taught by Professor Cyrus) while traveling from VA. It ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I had been nervous to attend because I had taken a break in my training, and I’m so glad I went. There were several other women, and many upper belts. Every single person in class was incredibly kind and helpful. I learned a new submission, and got an amazing workout. Would recommend!

Great family environment! It was the first time training BJJ for my two youngest daughters and they loved the classes and the new friends they met here. We were welcomed with open arms, and this place has become our second home over the years. CJJF Central really is an extended Ohana, very welcoming to everyone who comes through the doors. From family events, movie nights and beach days as a team. Central is a beautiful blend of individuals from all walks of lives, from military, surfers, law enforcement, competitors, students, mothers, etc, and to anyone who is trying to better themselves with the support of a family. CJJF Central offers training for children, five and older. The children’s classes are divided by age groups to better fit the children’s need for their specific ages. Central also offers some additional classes for their members (and family members) at no additional cost as their way of saying thank you. They offer a Judo class, Striking (kickboxing) class and two Yoga classes throughout the week. Adult fundamental classes are offered every day. I’ve trained in numerous locations over the years and have dealt with various environments and instructors. CJJF Central has a professional environment that I believe is perfect for the growth of my children and myself. Overall I love Central CJJF, and I highly recommend this Academy for anyone looking to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

(White belt) This gym was extremely welcoming and comfortable. I’m traveling from San Diego and was looking for a gym to train at in preparation for my competition. Immediately you could feel the camaraderie and family vibe. The professors were very attentive and technical, the rest of the students were helpful and cool. 😎 I got the best rolls in that I’ve ever gotten in a really long time. Aloha 🌺🤙🏽
