DVG has been the best place for me to learn and train jiu jitsu. The professors are incredible as they take the time to really know you as a person and genuinely work to help improve your life both on and off the mats. The students are equally amazing, creating an environment that feels like true family. If I weren’t moving off island for work, I would have stayed with DVG for my entire jiu jitsu journey. Whether you are new to the sport or have been practicing for years, I would recommend DVG to anyone and everyone.

Our experience at DVG Jiu Jitsu has been truly exceptional! My son has been attending since last year, and I have seen incredible growth in his skills, confidence, and discipline. Professor Brandon and Professor Garrett are outstanding instructors who not only teach proper techniques but also make every class engaging and fun for the kids. They have a great approach to teaching—breaking things down into small, manageable steps so that the kids can truly absorb what they learn. The structured yet enjoyable environment helps the students build their skills at their own pace while staying motivated. If you’re looking for a Jiu-Jitsu academy that prioritizes both effective instruction and a positive experience for kids, I highly recommend DVG JIU JITSU academy!

I was really nervous about my first class here but trust me when I say that the people here are amazing! The professors, the atmosphere, the family environment is really awesome. Everyone here are so nice and kind and actually its makes me excited to show up to every class and learn something new. I've been here for a month now and I've been going to almost every class and I haven't gotten bored. This is the first sport I have never gotten bored of. Love it here and everyone should come here!!

I was in town conducting training with my service and I wanted to get some training in while I was there. I reached out to DVG and was told to come in and train, just like that. I came with my troop and the staff was very welcoming and professional. They allowed us to train. You can tell that DVG is not only just Jiu jitsu, but it is a family. I’m looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

My 9 year old daughter started jiu jitsu around 2.5 months ago and loves it. The instruction she gets, especially by Brandon, is top tier. He takes the time to explain the “why” behind what they are doing and throws in lessons for everyday life that teach discipline and integrity. He’s incredibly patient, positive and does a great job modeling a growth mindset. All instructors are great at finding ways to incorporate fun games and challenges into lessons. There are usually 2-3 instructors/assistants working with students so they have a good amount of 1-1 feedback. There are benches set up in the facility where parents can wait (class is 1 hr). Classes can be viewed via Google Meets. They run a password protected live feed that you can log into to watch what’s going on in class. I love this. I usually watch from my car and my husband who stays home with our other daughter is also still able to see and hear what’s going on and observe what’s being taught and how she’s doing. The environment is clean and classrooms have AC!! 🙌🏻 Parking is mostly on street and so far we’ve always been able to find a spot. I highly recommend checking this place out!
