4 of our 5 kids (4 boys & 1 girl) train with Coach Nick at Island Jiujitsu West in Ewa Beach. Our oldest is a HFD firefighter and as soon as he gets time, he'll start training too. We also have nieces and nephews that train now as well! Coach Nick is very patient, motivating and safety is number one at his dojo. All of our kids and adults look up to Coach and his assistant coaches! The environment is definitely Ohana based.

I recently started training with Coach Nick at Island Jiu Jitsu West and I cannot say enough good things about IJJ West. Nick is really patient and pays attention to your specific needs and skill level. The atmosphere is great as people train hard and at the same time take each other. Nick cultivates a fantastic family environment for training. Go check them out.

My wife and I dropped in on a class while visiting Oahu. Prof. Nick was Very welcoming, solid instruction, solids rolls. This small kine gym did not disappoint. Mahalo for the training and hospitality. We will be back to train again

After over a year of not being able to train in an academy setting, I discovered that a new BJJ academy had opened up very close to where I live in Ewa Beach. I went in and checked out a free class with coach Nick, and felt welcomed right away. It’s a small gym with a family oriented vibe, awesome instruction, and tough, yet safe training sessions that I know will improve my skill level. Couldn’t have been happier to join this team. I highly recommend this academy for both children and adults.

Coach nick is a phenomenal coach here he’s helped me evolve my jiu jitsu game quite well I encourage you to come try it out and see if you enjoy it.
