I have trained in other gyms before but none match the culture at Bushido, I drive past other gyms to train here and I'm very glad I found them. Training BJJ at Bushido has improved many aspects in my life, if you are on the fence about starting in BJJ, just go for the trial class. It's a very welcoming atmosphere you won't regret it.

I came to Bushido Jiu Jitsu looking for a place to push my physical and mental limits, and I found exactly that. It truly is a place where iron sharpens iron. From day one, every member has been professional, humble, and dedicated to the 'rising tide lifts all boats' mentality—everyone wants to get better and help you do the same. This gym has positively impacted every aspect of my life. Beyond my own training, my 4th-grade son is in the kids' program, and it has been fantastic. We’ve seen a massive boost in his confidence and conditioning. The skills he learns here have even carried over into his football and basketball seasons. If you want a world-class environment for yourself or your family, this is it.

I was lucky enough to come by this gym when traveling. Dropped in to a morning class and I was extremely impressed and happy with the experience. Head coach has a superb teaching style and was very knowledgeable and it is apparent that he is a master of his craft. He has also cultivated a culture of learning and instruction that his students are very receptive to. That given day we worked on a multitude of wall wrestling techniques for MMA and self defense and I learned a plethora of new details for my wall wrestling game. Moreover the students that I rolled with have a very safe style of rolling while still pushing each other to be better. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Not only a good training environment but the guys who train there are good people. I 10/10 recommend this gym to any local people or out of town visitors!

I went to Bushido for the first time this past week. I was pretty nervous because I know the culture of BJJ can be pretty harsh, especially with my last gym. I can confidently say this is one of the best gyms I’ve been to. Super clean facility, very welcoming, packed with highly skilled belts, and knowledgeable/humble coaches. People of all ranks went out of their way to introduce themselves to me and every time I rolled with someone new, they were always open to giving advice on how my technique could be better. It felt like I was already apart of the family culture they’ve built through the years. Don’t hesitate to join this school!

I dropped in to try this gym and honestly didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming and real — not the typical intimidating martial arts atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about jiu-jitsu. The coaches/John are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to actually teach, not just run people through moves. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, they make sure you understand the “why” behind everything. You can tell they truly care about their students getting better. What impressed me most was the community. It feels like a team, not just a gym. People support each other, push each other, and there’s zero ego on the mats. Their kids program is top-notch — structured, disciplined, and still fun. If you have children, this is one of the best environments you could put them in. I also love that they offer a women’s-only class which my nieces is addicted to. There’s a reason they were voted the #1 BJJ gym in the state. After training there myself, I completely get it. If you’re thinking about trying jiu-jitsu, this is the place to do it.
