reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the knowledgeable and caring instructors who create a fun, engaging environment where children feel included and valued. Parents highlight how instructors know every child's name, provide positive reinforcement, and teach respect alongside martial arts skills. Several reviews mention children who previously struggled to find enjoyable activities now thrive at the gym and have made significant progress in both skills and discipline. Some concerns include the year-long contract requirement with substantial costs and a prayer during class that some non-Christian families feel could be scheduled differently to be more inclusive.

Our son has never found something that he truly enjoys doing until we put him in karate. He has learned new things and they are really great with all the kids! I love how well he's treated there and believe that it's really going to teach him discipline. I want to thank all of the instructors for their hard work!!

Indiana Martial Arts in Mooresville is great! From the amazing progress of knowledge of martial arts my son has gained in 30 days to the wonderful masters that teach. These teachers take pride in their students learning more then just karate and martial arts moves. They make every lesson fun for every kid and they know every child's name so that deserves 5 stars alone. They make all children feel included and consistently providing positive kudos. Also, I love the fact that they have flexible scheduling so you are able to choose what ever days in the week you would like to take your child at the times they have available for their rank.

My son decided to try something new so we gave Indiana Martial Arts in Mooresville, Indiana a shot. This school is a top notch facility!! They have a very caring group of staff that work with each student in such a kind and patient manner. My son is really enjoying his classes and learning a lot. He is having fun along the way and meeting new people and making new friends. I would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in learning Martial Arts. They teach all age groups. So thankful for this school in our community and the opportunities it provides!!

TL;DR: If you are Christian, have the financial means, and have a child that is old enough to truly understand what it means to agree to a year-long commitment, then try it out. THE GOOD: The instructors seem really knowledgeable, the layout is cool and feels very safe, and there are neat opportunities to learn so much. I especially loved how the instructors for the little dragons really knew how to engage the little ones. They gave tons of positive reinforcement, made it fun, validated big emotions while emphasizing not taking it out on others, and taught/modeled respect. ONE CONCERN: They have a prayer in the middle of class. It was initially shared that our child was not required to participate; I'm Jewish and encouraged my kid to politely step out of the circle when that time came. Because it was done in the middle of class and she was called back into the circle when she tried to step away, it felt pushed on her. If they prayed before or after the class, it would allow kids to be a part of it by choice. The way it is done during class gives the impression that the business would prefer non-Christians do not attend. (If that were the only concern, we hopefully could have navigated with them a way for our child to not feel excluded in the middle of class for being of a different religion.) OTHER CONCERN: It costs over $1,700 (500 down and 100/month or 150 down and 145/month) for a year plus paying for gis and required patches. And you are required to sign a year-long contract and have a 30 minute meeting to sign it. This makes me think they may have had issues with people wanting out early as perhaps their kids weren't ready to engage in something 2-3x/week for an entire year. Especially small children, developmentally, do better with shorter commitments as they try many new things early in life. If they offered month to 3 month long contracts, I wonder if it would be easier for parents to make that big financial choice to sign up.
