I have been a student of Indianapolis Martial Arts Club for one year. And wow, I can't believe time has moved so quickly! When I reflect back on my original reasons for joining this club as a SAHM--to simply get out of the house a bit and feel more capable of protecting my young children-- I realize that my original goals have been surpassed. Not only am I more prepared for situations that may arise, the physical training involved has inspired me to pursue additional new physical challenges. One year ago, I laughed at the thought of running. "You'll see me run in an emergency," I'd say. I did not go for runs, do pushups every day, or even think about "core strength." Physical activity was not a priority for me so long as the scale reported an acceptable number when I stepped on it to weigh myself. Now, though, I see strength, cardio, and flexibility as incredibly important. I now notice these qualities and especially the challenge of muay thai as a necessity to quality mental health and healthy aging. I am happier every time I leave class because I am being challenged just enough to improve yet not so much that I feel overwhelmed or behind. Muay Thai is something that can be practiced for years to come. My husband and kids have noticed a positive change in me since I joined this club. They are all very proud of me as I leave to go to "hi-ya class", as we call it at home. Seeing me leave to attend class even when I am feeling too tired has shown my kids the importance of discipline. When they get a bit older, I hope to enroll them so they can enjoy the same benefits I have enjoyed. My time here has been wonderful because the culture of this place is overwhelmingly positive. The instructors are consistently helpful and provide 1-1 assistance with learning new skills. They have an incredible amount of knowledge about a great variety of fighting techniques and are always teaching with the end goal of making each individual student capable of handling a dangerous situation should one arise. The facilities are clean and the staff require all students to maintain good hygiene in order to participate. I really appreciate that practical requirement. The only regret I have about joining Indianapolis Martial Arts Club is that I have not been able to make it to every class because of my own responsiblities at home with my children. However, every time I return to class I am met with the same amount of encouragement from instructors as they give students who have better attendance. This enthusiasm makes me feel welcomed and ready to work hard. I will also say as a last bit to anyone considering joining the club that the people who sign up to join Indianapolis Martial Arts Club are some of the best people. They are kind, consistent in expression of that kindness, intelligent, varied in their professions and cultures, and eager to learn. They are not afraid to laugh and are bold enough to improve themselves through hard work. Just being in a room with such interesting and wonderful people is truly a joy. Thank you Indianapolis Martial Arts Club for letting me be apart of the fun and the learning!

Started orientation in September of 2025 and have appreciated every second here. I’ve learned a lot in the short amount of time I’ve been coming and the training is very useful mentally and physically. Coming here is an escape and kind of like another for of therapy for me. All the people are great and can’t wait to continue the journey here! I highly recommend training here!

I joined this gym five months ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve gained a new level of confidence that I didn’t even realize I needed, and I’ve been able to push past my comfort zone in the best way. It’s been a fun and motivating experience meeting new people, sharing a common interest, and building a real sense of community. My weightlifting has improved as well, thanks to the increased flexibility I’ve gained through the classes. Overall, this is a great, safe gym that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone.

My time here so far has been very enjoyable. The fitness aspect of it has been rewarding and I'm noticing myself accomplish physical tasks in my everyday life get easier. It helps me stay disciplined while also having fun and learning something cool. The other trainees help me learn too. It's also a great stress reliever. The instructors are very hands on and patient. I'd recommend the Indianapolis Martial Arts Club to anyone looking for something worthwhile.

Currently under contract with these guys. They don’t allow aspiring competitors to achieve their goals and do everything possible to save face for their low quality, boring, and outright lazy training regiment. You won’t be an elite martial artist at this gym. Ray constantly harps about “money” after class and how they aren’t there to use their students while the gym I currently train at (Top Level Gym) has none of that at all. Ray was asking us to shine his feet online and make us write good reviews in order to enter a “Boxing Seminar” that he would have charged $200 for if we didn’t write some fake review online. This was all done to over exaggerate the people’s experience at this useless gym. Don’t let these “used car salesman” waste your time or effort into being the best version of yourself. I’m currently trained by a great man who was once a pupil of a former Muay Thai World Champion whose name is Mathee Jadeepitak at “Top Level Gym” in Indianapolis. Over there you don’t have to hear countless fake stories about how Ian knocked out 200 fighters like Ray did. The only thing Ray knocked out was 200 cheeseburgers. At “Top Level Gym” you get elite combination of Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, and Wrestling training 7 days a week. The same can’t be said for the money grabbers that have no intention of training elite fighters at “Indianapolis Mixed Martial Arts Club.” That Dojo puts the school above the student and shows no respect to those that are confident in their abilities. Ray has done nothing but show blatant disrespect towards me the second he got my name signed on the dotted line. Can’t wait to see the “talent” you’ve produced in March 😂😂😂
