I had no background at all in martial arts and didn't even know what aikido was when I first walked through the door. Being a first-time, older student AND a woman was intimidating at first, but everyone has been patient and encouraging. I've been training for three years now and might even have my black belt before I turn 60!

Started training in Tae Kwon Do in 1968. Began Aikido in 1979. Promoted to Godan by Saotome Shihan in 2010. Influenced by Mitsugi Saotome, Hiroshi Ikeda, and Kevin Choate.
David Meisner
Instructor
3rd dan Aikido (Sandan), 2nd dan Japanese Karate
Started martial arts in 1979. Trained/taught Japanese Karate for 8 years. Switched to Aikido in 1988. Also trained in Iaido, Kendo, and Okinawan weapons.
Jim Ragan
Instructor
2nd dan Aikido (Nidan)
Started training in Aikido in 1989. Also practices Eishin-ryu Iaido.
Carlos Perez
Instructor
2nd dan Aikido (Nidan)
Started Aikido in 1990, regular instructor since 2004. Cross-trains in sword-based martial arts including Eishin-ryu.
