We haven't been to any other karate place but this place is awesome. Our 5 year old got 8 free classes from his school. He was very shy and scared at his first class but the staff made him feel very welcome. They didn't rush him or make him do anything he didn't want to. Now he can't wait to go to karate class. I highly recommend this place.

OKS has the perfect environment for anyone. Desire to learn traditional Karate? Desire competition? Desire to just get in shape and have fun? They got it. I've had experience with multiple martial arts studios in the past, and OKS is top tier from what I've found.

I've been doing karate here for over twelve years and continue to fall in love with this dojo everyday! This place has so much to offer; a weight-lifting room, cardio kick-boxing classes, and an awesome group of instructors to teach martial arts in various ways. Olympic Karate Studio has gotta be the best martial arts school that Louisville has to offer.

My daughter has been attending Olympic Karate Studio for five years, first at the old location under Sensei Ruth and then at the new location under Sensei Ben. The quality of instruction has stayed the same over the two locations and through martial arts, she has learned so much discipline, control, and strength. She looks forward to karate - which she goes to three days a week most weeks - and has grown to be a very confident child. I cannot imagine sending my child to another dojo. They are amazing with kids.

We've been at Olympic Karate for many years- and are an Olympic Karate family. That means we go as a family- parent and kids. The instructors are top notch with backgrounds, techniques, and experiences that are second to none. The teen/adult program, juniors program, and little champs program are all geared around age appropriate expectations and teaching styles. Brian Ruth instills a sense of belonging, promotes an understanding of the tradition, and pushes everyone towards excellence- "black belt excellence". We are very fortunate- and proud- to know the instructors and families that make up this school.
