SIMA (formerly Porto de Carro BJJ) is a great place to learn and train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are excellent: very skilled, experienced, and dedicated to the art. The school is very welcoming, casual and friendly. Visitors are always welcome to come in and watch or participate in a class. I've been training here for several years now. I love how it challenges me and pushes me to become better. It's great fitness for the mind and body.

This school is full of good people who care about each other. Everyone helps each other and wants everyone to improve their BJJ game. Whatever your level of experience you are welcome there. It's not too expensive either. Great place for men and women to study BJJ!

I’m a fourth-degree black belt and actually own an academy in Grand Junction Colorado. I was visiting the area for the holiday and after not training for three weeks, decided to stop in a train because I was feeling fat and lazy :). I also like to take classes and other academies to see how people teach, etc. The class was small. There was four of us, a Purple Belt named Kevin, another black belt named Terry, and a younger kid whose name escapes me. The class was taught by a gentleman by the name of Morton Scott. He taught a very good class and taught it like there was 30 people on the mat. Very good people that I met! I highly recommend this place if visiting the area and want to get some training in I will definitely be back when visiting family. Good job y’all!!!
