I didn’t know what to expect when I signed up for the movement group classes but the experience has been amazing. Ken and the rest of the group made me feel welcome and every week we do something different. Ken mixes in his expertise in martial arts with yoga, strength training and meditation. I’ve been able to increase my flexibility, strength and mobility and do things I didn’t think I could. I’ve never felt better. Thank you Ken!

I would give 10 stars if I could! Ken is an incredibly well-rounded teacher who incorporates multiple disciplines to help you learn about your body. Whether it's yoga and capoeira to martial arts and strength training, no two workouts are ever the same. Ken aims to train your body and your mind. I have never had a workout give me so much more than I put into it. I am amazed at how in-tune I am to my body after taking just a few classes. I frequently find myself saying "I didn't know I could do that!" The community of like-minded people Ken creates is beyond amazing. It's such a great group of people all on the same journey. Leave everything you think you know about martial arts at the door - Ken's classes are so much more!

I do not have enough words to describe how amazing Akiyama Dojo is. Sensei Ken has a fabulous way of always making sure he works with his students to accommodate their needs, their skill level and ensures everyone leaves class at the end of the day feeling their best. Sensei Ken does a phenomenal job at getting to know his students both inside and outside of the dojo and never fails to stay in communication with them. My first day didn’t even feel like my first day. I was welcomed with open arms by everyone in class and it felt like I’d been there for years. Not only does Akiyama Dojo focus on getting you in physical shape, it also focuses on your mentality and teaches you how important is is for the two to work together. I would highly recommend attending a class here!
