As a female with anxiety, walking into a gym for me is terrifying - let alone a martial arts studio. If I hadn't done that introductory class over 4 years ago, I never would have met these amazing people. They have made such a big impact in my life. Since I've joined, I have reduced my anxiety, lost a few pounds but gained loads of self confidence, and actually enjoy going to workout. I started with the self-defense/small circle juijitsu with Sensei Leigh who is one of my most favorite people in this world! Small circle is my main focus, but I have expanded into the other workouts and other martial arts offered which is so cool because everything is all there and you can try it and see what you like best and in a safe environment. Christina and Terry have created a wonderful welcoming space. So I am writing this to encourage any female reading this, to give it a try. Come in soon so you can reflect a few years later and say the same thing I did "I'm so glad I made the choice that day to give it a try."

I have been training with Terry Dow since 1994. He's a skilled martial artist and a very good instructor. I've taken kickboxing with Christina for many years. Her classes are fun and a really intense workout. The general atmosphere at the Training Station is very positive, with chill people who want to have fun and get in better shape or stay in shape. Highly recommended.

The staff and students here are great. Everyone is warm and welcoming with very knowledgeable instructors and a group of students willing to bend over backwards to help anyone. Classes and environment are not only conducive to good learning but also a ton of fun with friendly great personalities. Whether you are looking to get in shape or learn some form of self defense (or both), it really is an amazing place with a lot of great people and options depending on what your interests are.

I have been going to The Training Station since 2021. I have taken the Small Circle Jujitsu classes under Sensei Leigh, Brazilian Jujitsu classes under Professor Art, Judo under Sensei Chip and Sensei Leigh, savate under professor Gino and tried several other classes as well. Every instructor is extremely knowledgeable and are experts in their field. Beyond the classes is why I'm staying at the training station. We are community of people that come together to learn martial arts. Everyone is kind and welcoming. I highly recommend the training station to anyone who is interested in martial arts.

Came for an introductory kickboxing class after they urged me to. They didn't give me any instructions so I came in and waited by the desk, where someone should've been I think? No one there seemed like they were introductory students. I was there 5 minutes early and waited about 10 minutes while a guy I couldn't see was screaming at people to get ready. A girl shouted to the instructor(?) that I was there and he went "oh really?' then kept yelling at her. I waited another 5 minutes. I was very uncomfortable because based on other reviews it sounded welcoming to women who may be particularly anxious. It was not. I left.
