This gym is awesome! I dropped in here while traveling through Fargo and they made me feel at home. It's a nice clean facility, everyone was really friendly and welcoming, the instructor was great, and had some really fun rolls! I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Love this gym! I train jiu jitsu with the guys and feel very comfortable. They take women’s safety very seriously, which I appreciate. Valor is also cross training friendly. I definitely recommend popping in and checking them out! Bonus-They are located right next to Mehl’s which is a celiac friendly bakery.

After two years of training, I can confidently say this is an incredible place to learn and grow in both jiu-jitsu and striking. The instructors are the heart of this gym, and their diverse experience is a major strength. I've had the privilege of working with several coaches who bring a wealth of knowledge from different gyms and organizations. It's truly a unique environment where you benefit from instructors who have learned from world-renowned figures like Helio Soneca, Alberto Crane, Gordan Ryan, and Craig Jones. The variety of classes is also a huge plus. Whether you're interested in gi or no-gi BJJ, there are multiple styles and techniques to learn. I've recently started their Muay Thai/kickboxing program and am equally impressed. Coaches Aaron and Jay are not only incredibly well-versed in the art, but they also bring a competitive edge, having trained at multiple schools and placed in regional events. This gym offers top-tier instruction and a welcoming atmosphere that has made my two-year journey so rewarding. Highly recommended for anyone serious about martial arts, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

There are so few places where women can safely tap into their aggression and learn a combat sport, so it's amazing to find a space that is so welcoming and encouraging. Valor is exceptionally good at teaching anyone new to kickboxing or jiu jitsu - I've learned so much from Aaron and Jay - as well as giving experienced fighters room to grow. I retired from roller derby last spring and really missed making friends while playing a contact sport - so I greatly look forward to the ladies' kickboxing classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings in particular!

If you’ve always wanted to give martial arts a try, Valor Martial Arts is the place to go. For years I felt very intimidated by this sport. I felt I wasn’t capable nor good enough (and obviously, cool enough) to immerse myself in this culture. My sister-in-law encouraged me to try an all-women’s kickboxing class with her last February. After weeks of nerves, I finally attended my first trial class. That’s when I met Coach Aaron and Jay. I’ve never smiled and laughed that much during a workout. I had so much fun! Fast forward to January 2026, I’m still here. I would choose this gym over and over again for a lifetime. I get the opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally every week. I have the most patient coach and mentors that continue to help me get better at this sport and as a person. I don’t ever get bored. I’ve lost weight. I’ve gained so many friends that feel like family. I’ve even stepped out of my comfort zone and joined the all-women’s Jiu Jitsu class Saturday mornings, which has been awesome. I can't thank Aaron and Jay enough. These two have made such a positive impact in my life. I highly recommend giving this gym a try. Once you walk through the door and feel that special energy, you’ll be so happy you took that leap of faith like I did a year ago.
