Best place to train for self defense and martial arts. Family environment with knowledgeable, kind and patient coaches. Everyone accepts you for you, no judgement. We play hard and have fun! I can’t say enough good things about Carlson Gracie Jr Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The coaches are not only incredible at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but they’re also amazing with kids. They teach discipline respect and confidence while keeping the classes fun and engaging. My child has grown so much since starting here not just on the mats but in everyday life too. If you’re looking for a place that feels like family and truly cares about your child’s growth this is the gym to check out!

We are thankful to have found this gym and become a part of the family. The staff are amazing. The programs are well rounded. The cost is very affordable. Our son has developed and matured so much over the past year. Highly recommend this gym to everyone

Black Force MMA definitely changes your life tremendously. Most definitely recommend coming here. Great people and amazing staff, they have so many options whether it would be jiu jitsu wrestling boxing or just working out will put you in a better mood and have a better mindset with everything that you do. Want to be in shape and feel great about yourself, Black Force MMA does just that.

Dropped in for a week. Initially I was lost because I’ve never been here, however, someone saw my blank stare and proceeded to help me with a smile on their face. They were extremely welcoming and friendly and glad to have me come in. I was offered to train for the week while I was in Charleston without having to pay any kind of mat fee. The Instructor Dwight Decker is an incredibly talented Black Belt and incorporated me into the class seamlessly. Overall a great class, great environment and a great place to train if you are in the Charleston area. When work takes me to Charleston, this is where I will be to train.
