I moved into an area without any local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms. I hesitantly reached out to coach David about training, because I was closer to an hour away. He was very kind and invited me to a class. I started training with David shortly afterwards with no regrets. I had about 2 years of experience prior to training with David, I learned so much in about a years time of training with him. David focuses on self defense and the fundamentals of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. David breaks everything down and makes it fun, safe and easy to learn. I highly recommend training with coach David.

David @ kaizen fitness arts has trained me throughout my jujitsu journey from the very beginning. He assisted me in attaining my blue belt and has been my coach in a handful of competitions. Through my experience, I can attest that David is very knowledgeable and an amazing teacher. Kaisen fitness arts should be your go to spot for self-defense and jujitsu training in the Brandon, Vermont area!

Was in Middlebury for work and I was fortunate enough to connect with David at Kaizen. I’ve been practicing bjj for several years and it was great to find someone passionate about the sport with a self-defense aspect that brought a new familiarity with a new skillset. Setting up an initial drop-in time was easy to schedule and all of David’s students were super welcoming.

Prior to going to Kaizen Fitness Arts, I had zero experience with Jiu Jitsu, and was honestly a little intimidated to try anything like this. But I decided to take a leap of faith and I am so grateful that brought me here. David has been an amazing instructor. He explains things in a way that is easy to understand and he is very technical with his details which for a newbie helps immensely. His classes are always very informative and are always fun! Everyone that I have trained with here has been patient and welcoming. If you are looking to seriously learn the sport or just looking for a great workout, that isn’t boring or monotonous, this is the place to go!
