I’ve never taken martial arts and joined my first Adults Muay Thai class last night. Tatiyana and Quinn are so kind and welcoming! They make sure beginners feel comfortable learning the foundations and get a great workout! Don’t hesitate, meet some great people, join a class and get a good sweat!

Tatiyana and Quinn are excellent instructors, the class is very welcoming to beginners and experienced alike. Great place to train and spar if you actually want to fight in a competition, or a great place to just work out and get in shape

I sought out VT Muay Thia to gain self esteem and confidence. I wanted to learn to move with my assertion and innate aggression in a healthy context that I wasn’t finding elsewhere in my daily life. I found and continue to develop these things at VT Muay Thia. I also found a community that challenges, supports, and inspires each other. VT Muay Thia embodies the principle that fierceness is rooted in compassion and I consider myself very fortunate to practice with Dan and the Martin family and all the other fierce people who choose to get in the ring. Dan has an intuitive and graceful way of seeing me without bias as I am and informing me of were I am most vulnerable. His experience as an instructor is evident in his ability to cater to every skill level and all walks of life. The Muay Thia practice is a unique window into humanity that is raw and real and has served as a valuable reflection into my own humanity. I invite anyone to have courage and try a class.

Vermont Muay Thai is such a gem of Brattleboro! The gym offers classes for the whole family, taught by Tati and Quinn, who are excellent at what they do and are such genuinely good people. The kids' classes are phenomenal. My daughter has learned so much from them in such a short amount of time, and it's really helped her learn how to be in and use her body. Tati and Quinn really understand how to teach kids, working with them in a way that empowers children while also encouraging them to persevere through challenging things. Tati's self-defense classes are fun and empowering while being a great workout. The adult Muay Thai classes are the most popular, with larger class sizes than self-defense and the kids classes. Highly recommend.

Vermont Muay Thai is a very traditional and authentic Muay Thai camp. The space is equipped with a variety of tires for kicking, a decent selection of heavy bags (thicker and thinner), weights and plenty of areas for pull-ups. The camp is led by Dan Martin. Dan seems to have dedicated a large portion of his life towards Muay Thai. He has lived, trained and fought in Thailand and it seems like he has grown a sincere appreciate for Thai culture. Dan comes off as genuinely passionate about Muay Thai and Thai culture and he is always excited to share this with others. The atmosphere is very much about respect (yourself, your peers, and Muay Thai) which creates a pleasantly focused environment for learning and training. The other students in class are friendly and excited to train and share their knowledge with others. Classes are two hours long on most nights which is atypical in my experience but in practice, I've grown to prefer this approach because you get a great balance of training, conditioning, strength training and cardio work in every time you train.
